The video equipment will help students learn to communicate in a more effective way. Producing project videos will enable them to reach a larger audience, including those quarantining at home. Students will gain many academic skills from creating project videos. They will first learn how to lay out a story and effectively create a logical order to it. Then they will discover the proper techniques for using the equipment, as well as editing skills to create a final video production. Producing educational project videos also will help students with their social-emotional learning. Students will be collaborating in groups to develop and produce their project videos. Collaboration involves communication and dealing with the ups and downs of group project work. This includes learning to work well with others, a very important social-emotional skill to have.
