My students have been placed in my classroom for identified special needs relating to emotional dysregulation. The items listed in this project will directly support them through the use of a calming room, which is currently standing empty. There are also some items for some hands-on science experiments that the class voted to try and get funded. I have some very curious learners who benefit from interacting with the outdoors and then discovering more about what they have found outside. The sensory equipment can be used for regularly scheduled breaks and on an as-needed basis as they are working to learn how to become increasingly function in a school environment.
