My students have really struggled behaviorally this year. I think a lot of it has to do with the fear of Covid, loss of family jobs, deaths of loved ones, and masks covering student and teacher expressions-lessening connections. I have been providing supplies to help them learn to work together and build their social skills. I have also been trying to provide things in my classroom to help students self-regulate and get into a healthy zone to learn. For these reasons, I have chosen items that will provide opportunities to play with peers, problem solve, and release energy. I am really excited for the opportunity to get these items for my students. I know it will have a big impact on their social-emotional experience at school.
