As a second-grade teacher, I've learned the value of fostering curiosity in my instruction. Students are naturally curious about the world. With the items I am requesting, I will integrate reading and science into my instruction. Students will be able to read aloud with me the chapter books I requested and then we can learn about weather, volcanoes, and fossils. We also need a pencil sharpener. Students will use the playground equipment to build social skills and to play together at recess using the requested playground equipment. COVID has impacted my students and I am requesting items that will help offset the negative consequences of COVID. Students need more social interaction with each other, so that's why I'm requesting playground equipment. Students haven't had enough learning manipulatives because of the at-home learning, so I would like to do more hands-on, interactive activities. Thank you for your support!
