My students need an organized classroom that will not detract from their learning. We know that a cluttered space is distracting to students and even distressing to those with anxiety issues. This adjustable shelf will provide a place for me to put my differentiated teaching supplies, intervention materials and books. It will help with the overall neatness of the room, allowing students to feel more relaxed and able to learn. This shelf will also directly benefit the students in another way. It will hold additional bins on lower shelves where they can have easy access to all of their learning materials and manipulatives. This way they will know exactly where these things are when they need them. This will allow centers to run more smoothly and quietly because students won't have to ask where everything is.
