Our student are at an all time low with attendance and engagement, especially because of the the pandemic. We have surveyed them and they have reported that they are feeling unmotivated and in low spirits. We, as a mental health and engagement team, are looking to re-integrate them into the classroom setting using a Zen Den; a designated place at school where we can re-instate and re-connect students to their classes, giving them a safe and confidential space with calming and soothing activities to de-escalate them for a minimum amount of time.
