Bob Books will be a major tool in helping my students build a strong foundation for reading. The Pop It toys will be used to help students to "pop" each individual sound in words as they recognize the sounds letters make. The different sets of Bob Books will guide students as they progress from putting sounds to letters, then to blending cvc words, short vowels, adding word families, digraphs, long vowels and sight words. All these books will help in building a strong reading foundation for students. They will put a smile on their face as they move from putting sounds to letters, then to blending, and finally to fluently reading. These books are the necessary ingredients for helping my students say: I can do it, yes I can.
