This project aims to help students in a credit recovery class at B.H.S. We have been in person this year, and remote. The supplies I'd like to order would be checked out by students to use at home, and returned when we get back. These supplies , including lapboards, markers, pens and other goodies, would be used to help teach students studying practices at home and in school. These supplies would help students in my classroom be able to complete their work. When they have everything they need to finish school work, and a teacher to help them the whole period, I know they will be more successful. Students at BHS are struggling to pass classes due to Covid-19, family struggles, and home life. Many of my students are from broken homes or divorced homes wherein mom or dad don't really focus on getting their child the school supplies that child needs. My students like to make their notes color coordinated with subject area because that is a study habit we talked about. Most families can't afford the supplies it takes to have neatly color coordinated notes. We also talk about how the use of index cards / flash cards are a great way to study. By having options for my kids to use to study, I believe it will make them more confident students. This order of supplies will go to help prevent students from failing classes, and to help other students remediate classes they have failed. These items will help students learn time management and stress management learning tactics. These items will help my students to be able to do their work in school, and at home. They have their laptops for at home, but sometimes a laptop isn't the best studying device for some students.
