My school is located in a very polluted area of Utah. We often have terrible air days where students cannot go out to recess. We discuss the importance of keeping natural life around to clear the air. My students have little access to science materials and this is heart breaking to myself and to them. My students would love to learn more about natural sciences and have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning where they are able to grow food and plants in our classroom. We want to use this tool to grow plants, food, and explore our natural world. I hope this will lead to more projects where we are able to plant trees around our school to help clear the air.
