My students have struggled when being quarantined during the pandemic. Those that are at home do not get the same level of interaction where they can ask questions and view the things we see in class. Digital programs can be helpful but for certain topics, they are unavailable or do not meet the quality I would want for my students. I would like to have this model of the human torso so that I can make high-quality videos using it to help my students learn that the interconnectedness of the various organs is related to their function. Understanding organs and organ systems is critical in Biology because it helps promote understanding of not just anatomy but also other topics ranging from cellular function to evolution. Having this model will also help my students who are present in class as they will be able to interact with the model and use the videos to review the concepts in their study.
