George Couros wrote, “Technology will never replace great teachers, but in the hands of great teachers, it’s transformational.” There are many curriculum support tools as a teacher I can have the students access. Technology is something that my students use at school and at home. They are able to access a variety of educational websites as tools and extra learning opportunities. Every student learns differently and some students when given the opportunity can show what they can do through technology with the assistance of mice and headphones. For example, I have a few students that struggle with their fine motor skills. Using a mouse, instead of a touchpad has really helped them significantly with our online educational platforms and with online district and state testing. In addition, the headphones I have selected are able to block out sound to a certain level. With my students who struggle with focusing, they are able to mitigate the noises coming from the other students in class. I believe all my students could benefit from having a mouse and headphones to use. This can alleviate some of that testing anxiety by having these simple tools. It will also make the technology more accessible to all learners.
