I want to give my students as many opportunities to analyze primary sources as possible, "Documents in World History" the primary sourcebook in particular will bring an assortment to my fingertips. The textbooks chosen will provide a well rounded perspective and analysis on world views as well as provided needed case studies. Once we have studied a primary source, we will create our own, making cuneiform tablets with the clay, sacred relics to play a sacred relics game with our paper, scissors and colored pencils and even recreating some renaissance art with the supplies as well. The books entitles Sapiens and Active liberty will be used by the as sections will be pulled out for bell work to help us start thinking about our discussion for the day. Sapiens will also go along with the online resource that has been previously purchased. My goal with each lesson of the day is to hit home the material we covered in class. My goal for each and every class is to help mold these young minds into outstanding global global citizens. The GIS (Geographic information system) textbook is being used by students to create their own GIS model maps and study the process of diffusion in a given subject such as food, travel times, health and information. The posters and whiteboard map are more geography based, they will provided some hands on material and once laminated the posters will be able to be marked as well so we can save our research and continue the next day. The poster on the book of the dead, "The weighing of the heart" will be laminated and used as a primary source activity. The files, file cabinet and organizational supplies are to store the new material in an appropriate way for our learning environment.
