Due to Covid 19, there are students in my class who are more than one year behind in reading and writing. In all of my years teaching, I have never seen a larger gap between high and low achieving students. I will use these hands on reading activities to support those who are struggling in language and reading skills. Using game-type activities is much more engaging to these students who already have a short attention span. Anything I can do to make learning more fun is always beneficial for students.
