My students love to come to PE. In PE, they get a chance to practice social skills, movement and sportsmanship. We play a variety of games with balls like four-square, volleyball, soccer, basketball and football. The electric pump will help us keep all of our balls inflated and give more kids access to balls and games. The new hula hoops will help with the school-wide favorite game of Hip Hop Showdown. In this game, hula hoops, hopping, and a high-stakes rock-paper-scissors showdown combine to make a big-group gym game for any age. Two teams battle it out against each other where students jump from hoop to hoop until they meet up with an opponent along the hoop course. At the meeting, the students play ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’. The winner continues along the course jumping from hoop to hoop until they meet the next opponent. Storing and organizing can also be a challenge in our PE office. The large mesh bags included in this project will help make sorting and storing balls much easier.
