The books in this project provide a variety of windows into diverse topics, cultures and interest. I hope that all of the students in my classroom with me able to find at least 1 book they can enjoy and relate too, no matter if they reading on grade level or not. Many students find math to be an additional challenge but through the games, and hands-on activities I hope each student can feel successful. We have big learning gaps in the basics of multiplication and division but with these manipulatives and resources I hope we can bridge those gaps while building the skills they will need as they move into Middle School.
