As the school counselor we have seen an increase in anxiety with students over the past couple of years with the pandemic. I meet with students individually, in small group settings, and in the classroom settings to teach emotional/behavioral regulation skills. Students who struggle with managing emotions, behaviors, have other things going on in their personal lives have difficulty focusing and doing their best academically. These tools will allow me to help students develop skills necessary to make friendships, focus on learning at school, and help them process trauma they may have faced over the course of this pandemic. This project will allow me to meet the needs of many more students than I'm able to currently.

About my class
