These materials will give students new reading Spanish material that will help them develop their literacy skills and vocabulary. As they do so, they will be learning cultural background on various Spanish countries and communities. They will also provide engaging Spanish reading material to help them learn to love reading. Many of my student's literacy is low and these books will help to engage them in learning. What would it be like to learn about famous Spanish historical characters and events in Spanish? These materials will allow students to read about people like Don Quijote and learn about myths from Latin America in Spanish. An opportunity not many students will ever receive. Students will be able to access reading materials that are not available to them in any other way.
