The bookshelf will give our classroom a designated area for a classroom library, where they can sit and read by themselves or with a partner. The bookshelf I have chosen also has an area to keep items that will help with interactive reading, ex. puppets and word cards. The pocket charts are for learning stations and small group so that they are more hands on with matching and sorting letters, sounds, etc. Last but not least the craft containers will help make materials organized and easily accessible within small group and intervention time. Organization is the first step into a well structured learning environment. These few items will be of big help in our classroom community to promote more independent hands on learning. The students will have a more structured area to work with and be able to showcase their work and understanding of the tasks.
