Many of the requested resources will allow students to feel at ease knowing that they are taken care of at school. Items such as snacks will be available for students whose families may be suffering financially due to the pandemic. Students will feel safe and taken care of with materials that they will need to succeed such as pencils, markers, colored pencils, etc. Covid-19 has had a such a huge impact on my students social emotional well being and mental health, I am trying to give them a classroom full of resources to help them feel more at ease. With differential seating, fidget toys, and coloring materials students will be able to decompress and take break from all the worries they may have. These items will help calm anxiety related to Covid-19 as well as help students focus on their studies. Overall, we all need a little peace and feeling of security in these trying times and I would like to provide this feeling of relief to my students.
