Our class is full of diverse interests, talents, personalities, and learning styles. Many students have fallen behind academically and socially due to COVID-19. The items that I am requesting will meet the academic needs of the students in my class by allowing them to explore different interests. The technology will help enhance the learning experience through virtual field trips and connecting with the world that is currently closed off to most of them. The items will also meet the social-emotional needs of the students by offering peaceful, hands-on activities that will help calm their anxiety and stress. Children learn best through using their hands and these items will offer many opportunities to do just that. The variety of items that I am requesting will help keep the light burning in each of my students and spark their curiosity for learning new things.
