Many students don't feel comfortable at school while they are going through puberty because they don't have the personal hygiene products to take care of themselves due to parents not being able to afford them because a lot of our students' parents have lost their jobs due to COVID. Similar to the hygiene products, many of our students don't have enough access to food. Of course they get breakfast and lunch but some of our students have lunch very early and are hungry towards the end of school and have no snacks from home, so they lose that focus in class because of how hungry they are. Often times that is all they can focus on and have limited attention to schoolwork.

About my class
