There are many ways that an iPad will be very useful during this crazy time. When we are able to do our learning face-to-face I can use the iPad to track data quickly as I walk around the room instead of having to pull kids out of our learning environment individually. We will also be able to use it as a document camera so students can see what I am modeling for them. When we are learning remotely, I can use the iPad to make videos, create screen recordings and meet virtually through Zoom. Math manipulatives are such an important tool for students to have access to. Since remote learning started, our students have had less opportunity to experience hands-on learning. I stepped into this classroom with very short notice in November after a teacher left and there are not very many manipulatives. I want to give my students the chance to cement mathematical concepts using hands-on learning when we are in person.
