Our school is lucky enough to have Chromebook labs but we are constantly trying to find enough earphones for each student. During testing times we are hard pressed to supply enough earphones for the 2nd Grade. Because of the pandemic I am also nervous about using earphones that have been in three other classes. Another teacher has personal earphones; she isn't running to other classes to find enough and she feels her students are safer using the same set of earphones every day. Our district has provided many safe sites that have been proven to add needed dimensions in classes. Many of these programs have sound and interrupt others if a student uses them without earphones. We know personal earphones is a luxury but feel that it would greatly lower our stress and be another step towards keeping my students healthy and in school.
