My students do daily work on their Chromebooks. At times, this looks like individual literacy and math practice, other times it includes virtual tests. I have found that many students have a hard time focusing on their personal work with all the background noise from other computers. This has especially been a problem during tests--the noise level has frustrated students and impacted their ability to test well. I want all my students to perform at a high level in this regard, and I know that headphones would increase focus and ability! COVID-19 has emphasized to all of us the importance of sanitary practices, and nowhere else is this more true then in a school setting. I use disinfecting wipes on a daily basis; students clean off their desks, supplies, computers, etc. At this point in the year, I have run out of wipes, leaving things less clean than they should be.
