Students being engaged with books is a resource that is necessary to their education. High interest and grade appropriate novels would help students maintain engagement. The speaker would be helpful for use of the new smart board technology being implemented in my classroom. I want to provide sets of books for reading groups that are high interest and grade level appropriate for students. Books that will challenge them and keep them reading. These books will be used in literature circles; helping students see the value in reading together and communicated their thoughts and opinions with one another. The school has implemented new smart boards in my classroom and a speaker would help give a stronger audio output.
