Any movement helps our body de-stress and relieve anxiety. Purposeful and focused movement does all of that and so much more! Bal-A-Vis-X (Balance, Auditory, and Vision eXercises) is a program consisting of 200+ exercises, each rooted deeply in rhythm. These exercises address visual tracking deficiencies, auditory imprecision, impulsivity, balance, and anxiety issues by crossing the midline, focusing on a steady pulse of movement, and demanding precise placement of both limbs and equipment in an attainable and engaging way. Bal-A-Vis-X enables body systems to experience the flow of a pendulum, thereby affording brain systems calm and sustained focus. Individual exercises promote self-challenge while partner and group exercises demand cooperation and foster peer teaching. Students (and adults) who do these simple to complex exercises reported better focus, improved fine motor skills, and a calm feeling that lasted throughout the day.
