The students in our life skills classroom face life with determination, perseverance and optimism, despite their consistent difficult challenges. They struggled tremendously during the Covid shut down because they were much more isolated than typical students. Many students with significant disabilities also struggle to have the physical skills to participate with friends and do active leisure activities. This specialized PE equipment will help our students build confidence so they are actually able to participate in leisure activities with their peers and siblings. Watching them practice with typical peers in our Adapted PE class brings so much happiness. This skill can provide happiness throughout their lifetime!
