In Human Geography we use data from U.S census reports, GIS, and many geodata sites to design maps and understanding of spatial patterns and human outcomes. When researching the range and threshold of customers for a business site students research data files and maps to construct models of where a business should locate. Students are using a lot of computer/cell phone research time getting statistical numbers and demographics to build maps for cultural and informational understanding. Research data can be the key to illustrate the physical mapping of humans interactions local and regionally. Data can lend to patterns of understanding within migration and economic programs that government needs to establish within communities of lower HDI's.
