I want to use these books for students in English 12 where we will use them for literature circles. The students will be given the opportunity to choose which book they want to read. My goal is to allow students a choice and pair them with other people who have similar interests in reading material. Hopefully, they will make friends with new people and expand their support group at school My students are reluctant readers, but so many students are not aware of all of the great literature that is written for them; as such, the books I've chosen include a variety of genres to try and reach as many students as possible. We all know that we spend to much time on phones and not enough time interacting with each other. I want to do this project to encourage students to have more conversations that are not digital or centered around social media.
