I teach in a dual immersion class in a Title I school. Some of my students are below grade level in reading. Acquiring these books could make a huge difference in their lives and it will help them improve their reading skills and also their knowledge of science. Next year, I will be teaching two grade levels, 4 and 5 grade. In fifth grade, we learn about changes in matter and physical changes to our environment. In my selection of titles, I included these science topics, so while my kids are reading these expository texts, they will also be learning about science.
