This year, our class didn't have enough headphones for each student. As a result, students had to share, take turns, or do without. This is unsanitary at the best of times, but during COVID-19 this method seemed unwise. With these headphones, they will be able to work independently without worrying about catching someone else's germs. It's important to be able to walk throughout the room as I teach - an IPad will allow me to do this. Instead of being forced to sit at the doc cam, I'll be able to walk throughout the room while I'm working. Many of my students were out of a physical classroom for a year and a half and need constant reminders on how to act in a room full of people. Teaching from an IPad and using Air Play instead of a document camera means I'll be able to walk throughout the room, using proximity instead of my voice to redirect most students. It will also allow me to privately converse with students when necessary instead of shouting across the room to redirect them. The books on this list are also essential to help students learn about the world around them through highly engaging stories.
