The STEM materials will help me to further the learning we are doing in our classroom. Students will get to have hands-on experience with the science concepts we are learning. It will also give my students who finish activities early meaningful projects to complete. My students love to build and be creative so these will be perfect for them. My students need storage at their desks so we can learn with minimal interruptions. Currently, my students have to get up out of their seats several times an hour to retrieve things like notebooks, textbooks, or supplies because they have no storage at their desks. If they had Seat Sacks our transitions would be a lot smoother and our classroom would stay more organized. The carpet will be used to have a place where the whole class can come together to meet. Our current rug is too small for everyone to sit at so some people are left off which can hurt their feelings. This rug will comfortably fit all the students so they can all feel that they are an important part of our class community.
