My main goal with teaching is to have my students WANT to be at school and feel safe and comfortable while they are here. The items I've requested help me achieve that goal. The items will help with our classroom morale in several different ways. The rugs and seating options make our room comfortable and enjoyable. The organizational items will help keep the room neat and clean, which also help it to be a place that kids want to be. The books will replace the very well-loved set that I already own and the smaller items (stress balls, pencils, pens, etc) were requested by my students as incentives that they can buy at "store" with their Bradshaw Bucks.The other items are daily items that I use daily, for correcting, writing notes, math and reading timings, etc., but that I've previously purchased with my own money and are a little pricey to continually buy. These items may not seem like much, but they can have a big impact in a classroom! I appreciate your consideration, and so do my students!
