Our students are really struggling due to the difficulties related to Covid. Many of our students reading levels are decreasing at alarming rates. My goal is to use these decodable readers with our upper grade students so they don't feel like they're reading "baby books" and will be more motivated to practice reading. With the extra practice students will be able to increase their reading proficiency. I am a reading specialist who works with students in grades K-6. Even though this project is intended for 3-6, I know some students in lower grades will also benefit.
