Reading is an integral part of a students academic success. The more books and genres they are exposed to also helps with their creativity. There is also a social aspect when they find books they love and share their excitement with others. During times of quarantine for COVID-19, students were cut off from or had limited access to their traditional school library. Now that some things are coming back to normal, even in small ways, they are gobbling up the books as if they have been starving. There are so many great books that I can't keep on the shelf and series that are incomplete. I have long lists of students waiting for many of these and newer books. The more books that we can put into the hands of these students, the more successful they will become.

About my class
