Good quality knives and measuring utensils help students learn cooking skills they can use in everyday life. While the materials will not be used at home, the skills will be because everyone eats everyday. Sharp knives are necessary for safety and good measuring utensils help create good quality food over and over again. Additionally, the visual measuring cups will help students who struggle with fractions and equivalents/conversions to really grasp cooking- math concepts. I try to teach my students to be self-sufficient and resilient in their lives. Having good quality tools is key to this being a success!
