I teach core academics as well as a STEAM special for the elementary students at my school. All students who attend my school are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Hands-on materials and projects provide critical opportunities for students to expand their world knowledge and problem solving skills. As students have opportunities to play, explore, and experiment in the classroom their enthusiasm for learning increases. Expanding the STEAM studio supplies available in my classroom will continue to help students strengthen their social-emotional and academic learning through exploration, teamwork, and play. They have all been apart so frequently over the last few years that opportunities to come work together are more vital than ever.
