These materials will help students succeed in school because they will help students feel safe, calm, and seen while in the counseling office. These materials will help invite kids into my office and make it feel like home rather than a stale office. The fidget toys will help calm their senses and will give them something tangible to play with when they are feeling anxious or nervous. The decorations, tea mugs, and tea will give them something to feel comfortable in my office. The snack food and the "toys' will be something that students can earn or get when they reach their goals that we have set together. These materials will help students grow emotionally and mentally as a person which in turn will make school a safer, more accepting place.
