My students have diverse needs and diverse levels of abilities. I need a variety of methods to allow my students access to curriculum and learning opportunities that would otherwise be difficult. My students have opportunities to learn with Chromebooks. Tablets allow for access to learning programs without the keyboard or mouse being needed. By pairing student interest with an academic task I can help the students engage better with many learning activities. The iPad is often seen as rewarding for my students. In a society where technology skills are required from our students, it is important to provide learning experiences through these alternate learning tools. Introducing iPads into my classroom environment shows the students that we pay attention to their interests and can show them ways to enjoy learning through what they are familiar with at home.
