As a school counselor, I am constantly trying to figure out ways to help my students. In doing this, I focus on the concept of kindness. We do two kindness weeks a year and then all my lessons I teach each month, have an underlying message of kindness. My sixth graders also have the opportunity to be on our kindness committee at Heritage if they want to be. We have fifty on the committee this year. My goal with this project is to be able to make videos high in quality and content. In helping my students, I have started making videos to share with my students. However, the overall quality is not great. Lighting and audio are a struggle especially when I have the students help. I plan to share videos weekly with my school that will be shown in class or in prep. The students will be a part of this too. My sixth graders are making and will make videos with me to share to the whole school. Whether it be kindness, school safety, or just sharing good news, the students and I will be able to help our school at a whole new level with this equipment and supplies. I also asked for a few things to do my big rocks demonstration which has to do with the priorities in our lives, and how if we put the big things first, everything else will end up falling into place. I hope that you will fund this project. I am passionate about helping my students and technology. like it or not, is where and how kids are getting most of their learning. I hope that I can add a positive spin on the technology department and continue to make a difference in their lives.
