Our classroom includes students with a variety of learning levels and abilities. The materials from this project will provide them with tools and activities to make their learning experiences more meaningful. Increasing independence is essential as our students with disabilities move through middle and high school. Having headphones with microphones that access audio books and voice typing will help them be successful in a general education setting. The students in my classroom love read alouds. The books I have chosen will create a pathway for students to explore social skills and issues through literature. They will promote critical thinking and problem solving through class discussion. My students will be so excited to have new, beautiful literature in their classroom to access and share.
