This is my first year as a full-time ELA teacher, and we have also adopted a new ELA program that has led to many training meetings. I have attended everyone our district has provided with us and taken the information given and applied it to my teaching. For example, we just received training where an Amplify coordinator came out and did an example of teaching for us. I was impressed with everything she had done. One thing I took away was how I can better plan for my student's lessons by looking at their end-of-the-unit assessment. Something that would have to be very important for them is to do their vocabulary and their solo work (cold reads). I'm wanting to give them more of an incentive to have their solo work finished.
