My classroom is a special education setting. We have students who come to my room with a wide variety of needs that include: Down Syndrome, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and ADHD. Our students are full of love and have a strong desire to learn. Given the opportunity, my students seize the day and use their resources that are provided to them with great joy. Our students love to work with technology! With multiple tablets in the classroom, students will have the chance to learn independently and have access to resources that would normally be unavailable. Our students look forward to learning how to use this technology to help prepare them for the workforce, and life outside of the classroom. Art is great way for our students to be one with the present moment! The students love to work on art projects, and painting is one of them. There is a great calm that comes over the classroom when students are painting and it's easy to witness their focus when given some art supplies and instruction.
