Since moving to a different school and room, I miss the cozy furniture that was in my first classroom. Using a small couch and chair, I was able to create a warm and soothing spot for students having a hard time transitioning. Now, as students anxiety peaks moving back and forth between school and home learning, I need a place for my students who have a difficult time transitioning. Using the couch and chair and some relaxing manipulative and books, I can create a warm, soft corner for easier adaptation. Having a designated spot, different from the rigid chairs and tables in the classroom, brings a little home to the classroom environment.
