These supplies will enable my classroom to transform into a small group centered classroom. By doing this, I will be able to really focus on each students' individual needs. These books will really be enjoyed and challenge my students as they work through and read them. These books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them continuously choose titles like this to read. With these new books and supplies I will be able to create a content-rich environment where the students can dive into these books as they build upon their literacy foundations and fill in their academic short comings that have been created throughout the pandemic. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences in small groups as I bring instruction to them throughout the book. They will have the highlighters necessary for the various learning activities, as well as storage containers to organzie each of their small group activities. They will each also get to create an interactive notebook with the spiral notebooks that will help teach and review those concepts that they have been struggling with. This project will benefit all of the students in my class this year and for years to come since I can reuse the books and many of the supplies to help future students also fill in their learning gaps.
