Currently my speech and language students do not have homework assignments. This is something I have been working on changing. When I see them for speech for a few minutes a day or a couple of times a week, this is not enough practice for their speech to truly make the progress it needs. If I can send home homework assignments, a simple sheet of words for them to practice, their progress will improve. I can make copies ahead of time, but often even in a quick therapy session my focus will change for what they need to practice at home.
