Students in Technical Stage Production learn to use audio-visual equipment in supporting assemblies, theatre productions, and concerts in the auditorium at school. As the course progresses, students learn skills like adjusting levels, routing channels, and programming cues into the light board. Keeping technology current is always a moving target. The digital sound board in the auditorium has no physical faders. All of the controls are on a standard monitor using a mouse. A touch screen monitor for the sound board allows it to be used more like a conventional analog board. This will allow students to be more familiar with what they may encounter in situations outside of school whether digital or analog.
