We need headphones for each student so we can use our online curriculum consistently, help reduce noise distractions and reduce the spread of germs that sharing headphones can cause. We use headphones everyday for social and academic learning. We have a state curriculum for reading that students need to use at least 15 minutes per day. This app reads out loud to the student and is extremely difficult to use without headphones. One of my favorites apps we use, is a social skills app that teaches eye contact, facial expression, self-esteem and how to communicate. It is amazing to see the difference in students confidence and communication skills when they are able to use this app consistently. Barks headphones are known for their durability and noise reduction. 2nd graders are hard on headphones and Barks brand we will not need to replace during the year or even each year.
