The paper, felt, markers, colored pencils, along with supplies I already have will allow my students who want an alternative way to show competency create a work of art to display their learning. Students often make diagrams or 3D battlefields or highlight their favorite event we learn about in class by supplemental research and creative displays. I want students to have as many ways to display mastery as possible. The podcast equipment will allow my students to record stories from history based on their interviews with family members and the community about events before the students were born. The books will provide my students new sources of knowledge, both for my history classes and my psychology classes. They will be able to read passages from experts. The pencils and pens are because some of my students can't afford basic necessities.
