Especially because so much of our learning is online, the styluses will help us do more projects using technology. The students will be able to use virtual manipulatives for math, highlight text in reading, create maps in social studies, and design virtual science experiments using the styluses. We no longer have to do everything online, so the kids will be able to show how fractions are equivalent, or how they compare to each other if they have sets of fraction pieces. The whiteboard markers, pencil sharpener, and laminating pouches will help us when we are working on projects and games in every subject. The cleaning supplies will help us use all of these materials, then clean up because we are still living with the effects of Covid. The last time my students had a normal school year was when they were in first grade! We need to bridge the Covid gap and make learning enjoyable! The art supplies are important not only for the academic benefit they add to any subject, but the mental health benefits that will help my students really enjoy school again. Art, math, science, and reading are all so important to make a complete and rewarding classroom experience.
